웨스트 밴쿠버 끝자락에서 해변도로를 따라 홀슈베이로 가다보면 중간 정도에 깊은 숲으로 덥힌 등대공원이 주택지 골목끝에 자리잡고 있다. 그 입구는 이미 지천으로 치닫은 거목들이 방문자를 압도한다. 정글에서 뿜어나오는 신선한 산소가 공간을 메우고 또한 흙길을 따라 해변 등대로 향하는 길은 진초록의 향이 진하게 물들이고 있다.

​사람이 사는 마을에 이렇게 깊은 수풀이 고요히 살고 있다니. 감탄이다. 난 그 숲길을 따라 해변에서 한 순간도 떠나지 않고 밤마다 불빛을 토해내는 등대를 향해 질주하고 있다. 빽빽한 나뭇길은 하늘이 가려져 버렸고 온통 연초록의 벽화가 흐느적거린다.

이곳은 버라드만 해안선 위에 위치한 다우림지역이다. 그 넓이는 185에이커에 이르고 일년에 1300 mm의 강우량을 나타내고 있다. 더글라스 소나무와 서양 솔송나무 등 다양한 식물들이 거대한 지역을 채우고 있다. 이곳에는 500년이 넘은 60미터 이상의 나무도 하늘을 치솟으며 우뚝 서 있다.

등대 공원은 거친 지형적 현상으로 산책하는 사람들에게 주의를 권유하고 있다. 미끄러운 진훍창 외길과 삐죽하게 밀려나온 넓적한 바위 그리고 가파른 바위벽과 절벽들이 곳곳에서 발견될 수 있기 때문에 방문자들은 세심한 주의를 요한다. 등반하는 사람은 더 전문적인 정보가 필요하다.

​해변에서 배를 타고 나가 이 지역을 바라보면 마치 램브란트의 풍경화를 보듯이 감탄이 저절로 나오는 신비롭고 아름다운 해변공원이다.

As you go along the West Vancouver Beach Road to Horseshoe Bay, a lighthouse park, halfway through the deep forest, is located on the edge of the residential alley. At the entrance of the park, the big trees up into the sky overwhelm the people. Fresh air spewing from Douglas fir trees fill the forest. And every dirt road that leads to the beach lighthouse is drenched with a deep green color.

These deep bushes live near the village. It is admiration. I am walking along the forest road to the lighthouse that spews the lights every night. I can not see the sky on dense forest roads and the green mural paintings are lively on the sides of the dark green roads all over.

This is a coastal rain forest area located above the triangular oval shoreline along the Burrard inlet. The area, which shows a rainfall of 1300 mm, lies over 180 acres. Douglas Fir Trees are filling a huge area with various plants including Western Hemlock trees. There are 500-year-old trees, and over 50 meters of trees also rise above the sky

​The lighthouse park has a rough terrain for the walkers. This place requires visitors attention. It is because of the muddy roads and cliffs and steep rocks that can be found all over the place. Professional climbers need more specialized information.
