밴쿠버에서 북쪽으로 30분만 올라가면 하워사운드 바닷가에 너무나 평온하고 아름다운 해변마을이 나타난다. 밴쿠버에서 오래 거주한 사람들 조차 찾아보지 못한 비밀스럽고 신비로운 해변이다. 그 맞은편은 골프장으로 유명한 퍼리클릭이다.

 

여름에는 마치 구름 위에서 녹두빛 바닷가를 바라보며 골프를 즐길 수 있는데 진정 천사들이나 필드에 나올 황홀하고 정겨운 해안산맥 골프장이다. 여기서 5분만 가면 가장 분주하고 유명한 포튜비유 캠프그라운드가 백조같은 포구와 함께 그 자태를 드러내고 있다. 스쳐 지나가는 이곳에 이렇게 보물같은 자연풍경이 숨어 있었다니...
