Sea To Sky World

브라이스 캐년은 마치 하나의 거대한 성 즉 뉴욕같은 규모의 옛도성이 펼쳐지는 듯했다. 지각작용이 이렇게 엄청난 새로운 형태의 자연적인 조각품을 만들어낼 줄이야. 참으로 지층이 솟아 올라 뒤엉키다가 다시 새로운 형태로 정지된 형상들은 보는 이들에게 그 경이로움을 선사한다.

그곳엔 CN 타워도 있었고 엠파이어 스테이트 빌딩도 있었다. 물론 자실 롯데빌딩보다 더 섬세한 자연적인 조각 솜씨가 여실히 보였다. 경이로운 기적의 손길이 만들어낸 줄지어 이어지는 고성이다. 수없는 병사들이 전쟁의 피로를 씻기 위해 걸터 앉은 황금빛 도시의 빌딩이 텅 빈 자태로 웅집해 있다. 천상 천하 유일한 예술 도시임에 틀림없다. 사람이 살 수 없는 곳에서 분사되는 감동이 허공에 가득 차 오른다.

Bryce Canyon was a huge castle. In other words, the old city of the same size as New York seemed to spread.
